Privacy Policy

How AIM collects, uses and protects your information. In effect from 15 October 2026.

Who we are

The Advanced Institute of Mentoring (AIM) is an education organisation in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan, registered with the Government of Pakistan and accredited by STEDA. AIM is responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

Contact us about anything in this policy at info@aimworld.org or +92 21 3496 2114, or write to E-7, Block 4, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi.

This policy covers the AIM website, the AIM-TDP teacher portals, the ICLP parent flow, and the AIM mobile app.

What we collect

Everyone who creates an account. Your email address and password, and the name, father's or husband's name, gender, date of birth, mobile or WhatsApp number, address, city and province on your profile. If you choose to add one, your photograph. Your CNIC, if you give it — this is stored encrypted.

Teachers registering for AIM-TDP. Your qualifications, subjects, grade levels, teaching mediums, experience, employment preferences, expected salary, availability, training history, the documents you upload, and your progress through the verification levels. We also record the consent mode you choose, which decides whether your profile can be seen by schools or published publicly.

Parents registering a child for ICLP. Your child's name, age, gender, grade and school, the learning concerns you describe, and your relationship to the child. As the assessment proceeds we record intake notes, the appointment, the per-skill assessment results, the learning-gap summary and any follow-up. This is information about a child, and the section below explains how we treat it.

Anyone using the site. When you submit the contact form we store your message together with your IP address and browser identifier, to help us detect abuse. Our servers keep a record of security-relevant actions — signing in, password resets, and staff access to records — with the IP address and browser identifier, so that access to personal data is accountable.

If you use the mobile app and allow notifications, we store a device token so we can send you updates about your own registration.

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.

How we use it

We use your information to:

  • run your registration, assessment, training, internship, certification and placement
  • contact you about the programs you have registered for, by email and on WhatsApp
  • confirm that certificates we have issued are genuine, through our public verification page
  • introduce teachers to schools, only according to the consent mode each teacher chooses
  • keep our services secure and investigate misuse
  • meet our legal and regulatory obligations

We rely on your consent for contacting you and for sharing a teacher profile, on the performance of our services to you for the rest, and on our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure for our security records.

Children's information (ICLP)

ICLP assessments concern named children, and we treat that information as the most sensitive we hold.

  • A child's record is created only by a parent or guardian, who confirms the information and agrees to be contacted.
  • Assessment results are visible to the AIM staff working on the case and to the parent who registered the child. They are never published, never shown on any public page, and never shared with schools.
  • The Learning-Gap Report is provided to the parent. It identifies academic learning gaps to guide educational support; it is not a medical or clinical diagnosis, and where indicated we may recommend evaluation by an appropriately qualified specialist.
  • A parent may ask us to correct or delete their child's record at any time.

The National Best Teacher Award and Google Drive

What we collect for an award entry. Besides your account details: your school and teaching details, your qualifications and experience, the lesson your video shows, how you paid the registration fee (the method, the transaction ID and, if you add one, a receipt), the declaration and consents you give, and the scores the judges record.

Your teaching video. You upload it in whichever of two ways you choose:

  • To your own Google Drive. You sign in with Google and allow AIM to create one file in your Drive. This is the narrowest Drive permission Google offers (drive.file): AIM cannot see, open or change any other file in your Drive. The video is uploaded into your Drive and shared, view-only, with AIM's award account. We keep only the file's ID, name, size and length, so that staff can open it for judging. You can remove AIM's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions or by unsharing the file — but a video AIM cannot open cannot be judged.
  • Directly to AIM. The video is stored privately in AIM's own storage and opened only by AIM staff, through links that expire.

Either way, your video is seen only by AIM staff and the judges. It is never published, and never shared with schools.

Google user data. AIM's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google access only to upload and share the video you choose — never for advertising — and we do not transfer it to anyone else.

Scores and results. Your scores and rank are shown only to you, and only once AIM publishes the results. Judges' individual scores are never published.

What the award page may show. How many teachers have entered, by province — a count, with no names. Once results are published: the provincial top 10 (name, school and district) and the national winners (name, school and province, and a photo only if you agreed to publicity in your declaration).

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information, ever.

Schools and employers. A teacher's profile reaches a school only as that teacher's consent mode allows. Open publishes a profile page anyone can open, showing name, photo, AIM Teacher ID, verification level, qualifications, subjects and experience — never contact details, CNIC, expected salary or assessment results. Apply first means we ask the teacher before sharing. Private keeps a profile out of school searches entirely. A teacher can change this at any time.

Publicly. Only two things are public: a teacher profile where the teacher chose Open, and our certificate verification page, which confirms a certificate number, what it is for, who it was issued to, its dates and whether it is still valid. Confidential assessment information is never exposed there.

Service providers. We use an email provider to deliver messages such as registration confirmations and status updates. If you enable notifications in our mobile app, a notification service delivers them to your device. These providers process only what is needed to deliver the message.

Authorities. We may disclose information where the law requires it, or to investigate fraud or misrepresentation.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information for as long as is necessary for the purposes described in this policy — which, for a teacher record, generally means for as long as you take part in the program and for a reasonable period afterwards, because your assessment and certification history is what gives an AIM certificate its meaning.

Records of issued certificates are kept indefinitely, so that a certificate number continues to verify for whoever you show it to.

Security records are kept so that access to personal data remains accountable.

You can ask us to delete your information at any time; see below.

Your choices

See or correct your information. Sign in to your account, or email us and we will help.

Delete your account. Email info@aimworld.org from the address on your account, and we will delete your personal information within 30 days. Some records must survive: an issued certificate remains verifiable, and we keep the minimum security records the law and our own accountability require. We will tell you exactly what was kept and why.

Change how your profile is shared. Teachers can change their consent mode at any time from their profile. Changing it to Private removes the profile from school searches and unpublishes any public profile page.

Stop notifications. Turn off notifications for the AIM app in your device settings, or ask us to stop emailing you about a program.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, write to us and we will look into it.

How we protect it

Passwords are stored hashed and are never readable by anyone, including AIM staff. CNIC numbers are encrypted. Documents you upload are stored privately and are not reachable from the public web. Access follows each staff member's role, and staff access to sensitive fields is recorded.

The site is served over HTTPS. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we take these measures seriously and review them.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date shown at the top of this page. Where a change materially affects how we use your information, we will tell you.
